Residents of Haryana no longer have to visit police stations to inquire about the progress or details of a registered First Information Report (FIR). The Haryana Police has introduced an innovative system that sends SMS notifications to individuals’ mobile phones once an FIR is filed.
Through this system, citizens can easily access the status of the FIR directly on their phones. Additionally, they will be informed of the investigating officer’s name and mobile number via SMS. This convenient feature has been made possible by the implementation of a new module on the Haryana Police website.
